This is my first advanced camera and that i need to say i'm very glad with it. I shoot on both RAW and JPEG and the image quality is nice even at low light-weight conditions. Purists would argue that it doesnt compare quite well with some other cameras - and that they could also be right - except for Pine Tree State the standard is amazing. I also like the undeniable fact that the NX system has lenses for many of the things and that they don't seem to be insanely expensive.
I will allow you to attend the web reviews out there however simply illustrate what i feel is nice regarding this camera:
1) Samsung Suggestion Mode. Even though if you're shopping for these cameras you're speculated to be a little a lot of into attempting your own settings, sometimes I simply do not have the time to regulate it manually myself. The different modes - Night, Dawn, Macro, Beauty Face, etc - are nice route once you simply wish to require a fast shot. It makes life much easier. I'd be nice tho', if Samsung would let you save those pic in RAW besides JPEG. If you own a G4/G5 you will end up reception here.
2) Android integration. Yes, your apps and some flexibility to post on your social network. If traveling, this camera can be your friend thus you'll be able to use Google Maps and electronic communication. The whopping screen makes this simply good. In my case, I like the very fact you'll be able to upload your pics on to Flickr and Google Photos. I do not use Instagram or post lots on FB (yes, I read their terms of service) however this camera is the good one for social networks. For me, this is a winner. On a side note, I wish humanoid would support RAW natively. Hopefully this comes on a future update. I think you're shopping for this camera essentially for this, otherwise you'd better go with the NX30, 300 or even NX 2000.
3) Ecosystem. As I mentioned before, a decent choice of lenses at affordable costs. Not a Canon or Nikon ecosystem however you can notice everything you would like. I bought the 45mm, 20mm and 65mm lenses later through Amazon or eBay later on and that i haven't been disappointed.
4) Battery life. It's wonderful. You can go the full day taking footage and therefore the camera can still have juice. I sometimes go north of three hundred and battery can forever be there for the next shot. If you shoot RAW or RAW+JPEG then it drains faster. If it freezes (sometimes it does), then it takes a toll on battery too.
5) Weight seems to be fine. I am not at home with what proportion they must wait except for me it isn't too significant.
6) Connectivity. GPS works well even without information or wireless local area network. 4G available with AT&T if you want to. I like my pictures to be geo labeled and here it works awe-inspiring even though you do not have a knowledge set up activated.
Cons that I can point:
1) As I said I want to have the Samsung modes out there for RAW
2) Annoying signature by default. It takes a few minutes and a few reasoning to get rid of the NX brand on every shot.
3) It crashes a bit often, particularly if you area unit doing significant work like shooting RAW+JPEG. This is probably the foremost annoying issue. It's not uncommon on a visit see on a routine the message that "The Camera App is restarting"
4) Well the elephant in the room is worth. This is no way a purchase for the complete worth ($1,600). You can do a euphemism ton higher with alternative systems for that worth. However, I went for one of the warehouse deals and at $800ish this is often an incredible camera, with unmatched connectivity options and that makes sharing your shots along with your pet ones straightforward.
I think for well underneath $1k, you may simply fall enamored with this camera.
